Formed in the fall of 2020 by Luchezar and Boyan, Certain Demise started as a thrash metal band under the name "Burning Illness", but they changed to Determination shortly after. Biggest influence were Metallica, Slayer and Pantera. There were multiple lineups during the earlier months of the band's existence. But in April the current lineup was established. They changed the name once again and it's the current name. In August they became a death metal band with a more old school sound, that resembles a mashup of different scenes from the USA and Europe. Biggest influences are the earlier Gorguts, Cancer, Sentenced, Amorphis and a bunch of flagship classic bands that refined the genre. On the 18 of October the band's first demo was released. It was titled "Winds of immortality". That helped Certain Demise to gather a fan base, the demo also moved the band to a whole new level. They were invited to play on Prokaza's EP promo with Gods of Ancient, Historian and Maltworm. That was their live debut. On the 4th of January their first single was released, Stiffened At The Stage Of Morbidity.
